GLOBAL INNOVATION CHALLENGE

This is a special invitation for you to register your students to participate in the 2021 Global Innovation Challenge!

Dear Practice Enterprise Teams,

On behalf of the USA network of Practice Enterprises Virtual Enterprises International, we would like to share the opportunity for your Practice Enterprise trainees to participate in the Global Innovation Challenge ! 

This is an interesting international collaboration project that is an update to the Global Enterprise Challenge.

Taking place from February 17, 2021 through April 22, 2021.

The Global Innovation Challenge is one of the world’s most unique business-related events for high school students. Students representing different countries will work together in multinational teams to solve a pressing global issue using design thinking principles.

In preparation of the Global Innovation Challenge, multinational teams of students will meet and collaborate online during February, March, and April. Students will work with mentors who will coach them on strategies to address the problem and develop a slide show, which will be presented to judges at the final event in April 2021.

Expectations of Student Participants 

Students must commit to work with their teams and mentors for the duration of the competition and be available to participate in the following six (6) sessions and preliminary round presentation. Each session noted below will last approximately 60-90 minutes. 

•Session 1: Kickoff Meeting - Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 11:00 AM EST (via Zoom)

•Session 2: Team Working Session with Mentors - to be scheduled during the week of February 22, 2021 (exact day/time TBD)

•Session 3: General Session - Tuesday, March 9, 2021, 11:00 AM EST (via Zoom)

•Session 4: Team Working Session with Mentors - to be scheduled during the week of March 15, 2021 (exact day/time TBD)

•Session 5: General Session - Tuesday, March 30, 2021, 11:00 AM EST (via Zoom)

•Session 6: Final Team Working Session with Mentors - to be scheduled during the week of April 5, 2021 (exact day/time TBD)

•Preliminary Round Presentations - Teams will be scheduled to present April 12-14, 2021 (exact day/time TBD)

•Championship Round - The top 3 teams will present at the championship round on Wednesday, April 22, 2021, 11:00 AM EST
